Calendar Dates Across Year Boundaries

| Date type | Civil date | Meaning |

| Observed closure | Friday, December 31, 2027 | Conventional federal Monday–Friday schedule |
A December closure can belong to next year’s holiday
New Year’s Day 2028 falls on Saturday. Under the conventional federal Monday–Friday observation, Friday, December 31, 2027 is the closure. December’s business-day calculation must include that date even though the holiday’s actual date belongs to 2028. The count includes observed closures that fall within the selected date range.
Check the closure alongside the December 2027 calendar and the 2027 federal holiday table.
Adjacent-month dates are context
The pale numbers before or after a month show dates from a neighboring month. They are not extra days in the selected month. A six-row blank calendar supplies writing boxes without assigning dates, while a dated monthly calendar uses the rows its actual dates require. Hide adjacent dates in the generator when you want only the selected month.
Leap years change February
2028 has February 29 and 366 days. February 2027 has 28 days. A template that merely changes a year heading cannot safely handle this difference; regenerate the dates and open the matching year archive. Week-years can also differ from calendar years at the boundary.
