Calendar sources and methodology
Prepared by Print Grid Calendar. The sources below define the date rules used in our calendars and tools. Report a calendar error with the page, date, and supporting source.

These calendars use Gregorian civil dates. They are calculated independently of the visitor's time zone, so daylight saving changes do not move dates to another column.
US scope and New York reference time
All public content targets the United States and uses American English. Today, current and next month, countdowns, and source meeting times use New York (Eastern Time), identified as America/New_York. They never use the visitor’s or development machine’s clock zone. Eastern Standard Time is UTC−5; Eastern Daylight Time is UTC−4. The clock follows the US daylight saving rules documented by NIST: the second Sunday in March and first Sunday in November. Printed calendar dates and all-day calendar imports remain date-only.
US Letter is the default paper. Monday-start, ISO week numbers, and A4 are optional print conventions. Domestic time comparisons are limited to US cities; their local daylight saving rules apply. New York reference time does not imply New York state, school, bank or employer closures.
US federal holidays
The scope is the eleven annual nationwide holidays in 5 U.S.C. 6103, with observed dates checked against the Office of Personnel Management schedules. For the conventional Monday–Friday model, a fixed holiday on Saturday is observed Friday and one on Sunday is observed Monday. State, religious, district, bank, market, and temporary executive closures are not included.
Actual dates and observed closures
An actual holiday date and the weekday on which it is observed can differ. Both appear in the holiday table. New Year's Day 2028 falls on Saturday, January 1, 2028, and is observed Friday, December 31, 2027. That closure belongs in December's business-day count, without becoming a twelfth annual statutory holiday.
Business days and long weekends
Business days equal Monday–Friday dates minus distinct observed federal closures within the displayed period. Weekend actual dates are not deducted a second time. An observed Friday or Monday creates a three-day weekend; a Thursday holiday does not automatically close Friday. Individual employers and nonstandard work schedules can differ.
Week numbers
When week numbers are enabled on a monthly calendar, Monday-start files use ISO weeks: week 1 contains the first Thursday, and the week-year can differ near January. Sunday-start monthly files use this site's explicitly labeled US weeks (Jan 1 rule): week 1 contains January 1; subsequent Sundays advance the number. Boundary rows belong to the year of their Saturday. This is a site convention, not a universal US standard.
Fiscal and school-year ranges
Fiscal year 2027 covers October 1, 2026–September 30, 2027, using the federal range under 31 U.S.C. 1102. The school template covers August 2027–July 2028 and contains no invented school terms or district closures.
Ready-made files and custom exports
Ready-made PDFs and WebP images are generated from the same civil-date models and physical layout rules as the interactive generator. The preview image is rendered from its actual PDF; it is not an illustration of a different file. PDFs retain vector text and rules with embedded fonts. Full WebP sheets use lossless encoding and 300 pixels per inch of the selected paper; smaller responsive images are used in the gallery.
Ready-made monthly sheets offer week numbers as an option, with ISO numbers for Monday start and the US January 1 rule for Sunday start; unused alignment rows on multi-month overviews stay blank. Twelve-month PDF packs preview January in WebP and contain January–December as twelve PDF pages. The gallery labels that distinction.
Downloads and privacy
Ready-made files are delivered through our assets.printgridcalendar.com CDN and need no account or email. Custom settings and exports are processed in your browser; the PDF library loads from this site when first needed. The calendar application sets no cookies. Optional local download counters are disabled by default and store only template/format counts in this browser. Share links contain print settings, never personal entries. The hosting provider may apply its own security measures. No visitor tracking or advertising scripts are included in this release.
