Calendar printing guide
Choose the paper and layout in the calendar first. Then download a PDF, save a JPEG, or use your browser’s print dialog.

Open a ready-made template
- Choose paper, orientation, and week start in the template gallery.
- Select Free PDF to open the printable file in a new tab.
- For an image, open Details & more formats and choose WebP image.
Without JavaScript, the default PDF link and a separate Download WebP link remain available.
Ready-made PDFs have sharp vector text and lines with embedded fonts. Full WebP downloads are lossless, 300-pixel-per-inch images; US Letter landscape is 3300 × 2550 pixels. The smaller page previews keep browsing fast.
Twelve-month packs contain twelve PDF pages; their WebP previews show January. On monthly pages, select Week numbers in the gallery. For adjacent dates or your own entries, choose Customize this design. See the Word, Excel, and fillable PDF editing guide for formats that accept typed plans.
1. Match the paper and orientation
| Paper | Portrait size | Use |
|---|---|---|
| US Letter | 8.5 × 11 inches | Default |
| A4 | 210 × 297 mm | Optional |
Select the matching paper and portrait or landscape before downloading; rotating a file afterward does not change its paper dimensions.
- Download the PDF with your selected settings.
- Open it in a PDF viewer and choose the same paper in the print dialog.
- Select Actual size or 100% when your printer supports the sheet’s margins. If the preview clips the edge, use Fit and check the preview again.
The main calendar layout leaves a 0.375-inch side margin; the credit line sits closer to the bottom edge. Check the full page, including the credit, in print preview. Printer hardware and print dialogs can impose their own non-printable areas.
2. Check the browser print preview
The Print button opens the browser’s print dialog. Check the paper, orientation, scaling, and page count. Turn off browser headers and footers to avoid adding a URL, date, or page number outside the calendar.
The site’s header, controls, holiday tables, and business-day facts are excluded when printing a calendar sheet. Reference pages keep their article content. If browser printing crops or resizes the sheet unexpectedly, use the PDF version.
3. Save or print from a phone or tablet
A PDF can download as a file or open in a new tab, depending on your browser. Use the browser or PDF viewer’s Share menu to save the file or select a compatible printer. If a popup is blocked, use Open PDF after the file is ready.
A browser embedded inside another app may restrict downloads or PDF views. Open the calendar in your device’s regular browser when that app does not provide file controls.
Choose one sheet or twelve pages
The year overview contains twelve small month grids on a single sheet. On the 2027 calendar page, the separate monthly PDF pack creates January–December as twelve pages. Its monthly layout is selected separately; it uses the same paper, orientation, and week start as the overview.
For a single large monthly grid, open the month you need. Quarter calendars contain three months on one sheet, while the fiscal and school-year calendars contain twelve.
Writing space and black-and-white printing
Clean grid leaves boxes open. Ruled journal adds writing lines. Desk notes adds a side column on monthly sheets and a lower notes area on year and quarter overviews. Quiet minimal uses less ink. Weekend rhythm shades weekends. Easy read enlarges date numbers on monthly sheets and date numbers and weekday labels on multi-month overviews.
Background shading can disappear when background graphics are disabled. Weekday labels, dates, and rules still show the calendar structure. Holiday names appear in a separate table to preserve writing space.
If a download does not complete
For a ready-made PDF, open the file and use your viewer’s Save or Print control.
For a custom export, wait for the ready message and choose Save PDF or Save JPEG. If saving does not start, use Open PDF or Open JPEG and save through your viewer.
Custom file links expire after ten minutes; generate the file again if needed. If creation fails, an error appears and you can retry.
JPEG quality and JavaScript
Custom JPEGs have a white background and 300-pixel-per-inch resolution. Devices with limited memory may use a labeled 150-pixel-per-inch fallback. Customization requires JavaScript; default ready-made PDF and WebP links work without it.
Calendar credit and permitted printing
Every ready-made PDF, full WebP image, preview, and custom export includes printgridcalendar.com and the credit “© 2026 Print Grid Calendar. All rights reserved.” Free to print for personal, classroom, and workplace planning. Please keep the credit intact.
The credit refers to the original calendar design and artwork. The site does not claim ownership of civil dates or government holiday facts.
