Choose a file you can edit
On a calendar page, choose the paper, orientation, and week start, then open Details & more formats. Choose Word, Excel, or Fillable PDF when that format is listed for the design. Formats not listed are unavailable for that selection. The regular PDF and WebP image preserve the design but do not provide typed entry fields.
Try the available formats on the January 2027 calendar page.
Add entries in Word
Word files contain native tables and editable paragraphs. Long entries can enlarge a row and create another page. Word may substitute a font if it is not installed; the printable PDF has embedded fonts and retains the intended appearance.
- Open the Word file and select View → Print Layout in desktop Word.
- Click an entry cell below a date and type a short plan. Keep the date and weekday rows intact.
- Save a copy, then use File → Print to check the paper, orientation, and page count.
Add entries in Excel
Excel files contain real worksheet cells. Dates are fixed calendar values: changing a heading does not rebuild a different year. Use the calendar generator for a new date range. Print scaling can shrink text; longer entries may need more than one page. The desktop Page Setup scaling controls described below are not available in Excel for the web.
- Open the Excel file and type plans into empty entry cells; keep the date cells intact.
- In desktop Excel, open Page Layout → Page Setup, then the Page tab. Match the labeled paper size and orientation.
- Under Scaling, use Fit to when needed. Choose one page wide and enough pages tall to keep entries readable, then check File → Print and save a copy.
Save a fillable PDF
A fillable PDF has typeable form fields, also called AcroForm fields. It preserves the printed design while allowing entries in specific boxes. A plain PDF has no typed entry fields. Browser viewers differ in saving behavior, so check the saved copy before printing.
- Open Fillable PDF in a PDF viewer that supports form fields.
- Click a daily box or notes field and type your entry.
- Save a new copy, close it, and reopen that copy to confirm your entries are retained.
Print and keep the credit
Use Letter or A4 matching the download. Print at actual size or 100% if your printer accepts the margins. Disable browser page headers and footers. The site credit and permission line are retained in editable files; free use covers personal, classroom and workplace planning.
